personal post #11 little havana

Just as I thought Autumn was well on it's way we have had a couple of days of sunshine and clear blue skies, today in particular! Great reason to hang by the ocean and wear tropical prints, in which case my palm print skirt seemed appropriate. (It's available here)

Silk Shirt: Friend of Mine
Leather Jacket (worn as vest): Lucette

stye icon #1 françoise hardy

This weeks style inspiration is Françoise Hardy.  Born in 1944 the Parisian singer's 60's pop song 'Tous les garçons et les filles' sold over a million copies.  Bob Dylan wrote about her in a poem 'some other kinds of songs' in 1964 and her style influenced Nicolas Ghesquière of Balenciaga

Personal Post #10 mean green

Do you remember my post here about colours we used to hate that we now love? Well lime green is another one of mine.. now I absolutely love my little green dress.. simple yet effective!

I found this dress for a steal at a second hand store, however, if your in the market for a neon green dress there is an awesome one here (and it's on sale)

personal post #9 the roof

Spent the afternoon shopping with my boy-f and we came across this rooftop.  As much as I thought summer was over last week it ended up being a pretty sunny afternoon.  I know shorts and a beanie are a bit of a contradiction however, my friend from Sweden knitted this for me when I was living in Paris and said I would never be able to wear it back in Australia, well, I proved him wrong.. :-)

Shirt: Second Hand
Shorts: miss t (from Plane Clothing, Chapel St, Melbourne)
Arm Cuffs: asos
Purse: Arthor and Aston

Highlights included leather layering at Christopher Esber, geometric prints and structured silhouettes at Dion Lee, tangerine polka dots and cut out knits at Gary Bigeni, an amazing floral quilted leather suit at Josh Goot, gold pointed heels and lime green pieces mixed with paisly prints at Magdalena Velevska, silk pants, sheer shirts and sparkly layered skirts at Therese Rawsthorne, lazer cut leather, metallics and spiked accessories at ELLERY.

Big thanks to L’Oreal for inviting me backstage to check out the hair & make up!
& thanks to the models who let me photograph them.
