Travel Diary: PARIS TWO

A collation of images from my last few days in Paris, taken from my camera, my friends Stuarts camera (once my camera at run out of battery and I realised I had forgotten the charger... fail) and my iPhone.  As requested I have also included more places to visit, eat at and shop in, I could go on for days, but I have refined it down to some top hits ;-)

Visit:

10. Visit Le Jardin des Plantes, this huge garden has rows of plants and flowers, a really nice walk there is even a museum and a Zoo inside the park.
11. Go to the Grande Mosquee de Paris, this place is beautiful with tiny patterned colourful tiles, make sure you wear pants if your a girl, its part of the conditions of entry.
12. Step next door to the Mosquee tea room, here you will find a cabinet of sweet deserts from Turkish delights to baklava at 2euros a piece.  Sit down in the outdoor area and the waiter will bring you sweet mint tea, yum!
13. Say hi to Oscar Wilde at the Cimetiere du Pere Lachaise, its not creepy it all, it's as my friend described it 'quite romantic'
14. See the Eiffel tower from a different perspective across the Seine at Roader (its right next to the aquarium) here you will find another garden, a huge viewing platform for some mega touristic pictures like mine ;-)
15. Take a short walk to Palais de Chaillot (if you like museums) and Palais de Tokyo (if you like exhibitions)

16. If you like Art, beyond the walls of Le Pompidou is Les Artistes on 59 Rue Rivoli is pretty awesome.  Its 6 floors of brightly painted winding stairs, that leads you to the creative spaces of 30 artists. Its free entry during the day and free concerts on the weekends from 6pm!

Eat:
Mama Shelter: (far but worth it, there is a casual pizza or dining area, amazing setting down to the TV on the roof of the bathroom (not kidding)

Nanashi: cute little organic Japanese infused - lunch or dinner
Hotel Amour: Stay here if you can! if not, eat and drink here! breakfast, lunch or dinner, sit outside in the winter garden and enjoy!
Marcel: (Brunch) If you go on a Sunday, prepare to wait, prepare to become extremely hungry whilst waiting and prepare to enjoy yourself immensely when you taste the food.

Shop:
Merci - mega awesome all round store with clothes for men, women, home wares, stationary, a really good restaurant and the cutest cafe covered in walls of second hand books.
Le Bon Marche - one stop shop really, avoid the madness of La Fayette and go here, firstly it’s beautiful and secondly it has everything! High-end in one building and mid end in the next, then head down stairs to the best supermarket you will ever step foot in (they do pretty good macaroons here!)
Collette: Another one stop shop, I’m sure you have all heard of this mega awesome concept store, don’t forget to visit it like I just did!
